Located in downtown Durham, NC, Fullsteam Brewery is a hub. Food trucks park outside, inside, patrons gather around industrial tables or line the bar, mingling, asking questions about different options on tap. They form groups to play board games or darts, and generally hang out like it’s a cooler version of their living rooms. It’s a true beer hall, no lederhosen required. And to its owner Sean Lilly Wilson, this is exactly what he wants. To Sean, beer is much more than just a beverage -- it’s about community. From crowdsourcing foraged local ingredients to speaking up for community change, for Sean, beer is one of the catalysts for action. But it’s also great beer, so sit and sip and learn about the man behind the brand, and then of course, get thirsty for some delicious Southern beer. Cheers.
